Description

A delicious and healthy dessert made with apple slices coated in yogurt and chocolate.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium apples
  • 1/2 cup vanilla Greek yogurt
  • 2 Tablespoons vanilla protein powder
  • 2 Tablespoons peanut butter (optional)
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 Tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 Tablespoon chopped peanuts
  • pinch of flaky salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Slice both of the apples and cut out the core where necessary.
  3. Mix the yogurt, protein powder, and peanut butter (optional) together.
  4. Dip each apple into the yogurt mixture, coating evenly, and set on the baking sheet with parchment paper.
  5. Freeze for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
  6. Melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil together in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  7. Dip each apple slice in the chocolate, coating evenly, then place back onto the baking sheet.
  8. Quickly add chopped peanuts and flaky salt to each “donut” before it dries (they dry quickly since they are cold).
  9. Freeze for another 1-2 hours, then enjoy!
