Description

This garlic butter steak with parmesan cream sauce is a delicious and indulgent dish that combines the rich flavors of ribeye steak with a creamy, savory sauce.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks (about 1 inch thick)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steak: Take the steaks out of the refrigerator about 20 minutes before cooking. This helps them cook more evenly. Pat them dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the pan is hot, place the steaks in the skillet. Cook for about 3–4 minutes on each side until a golden crust forms. Adjust cooking time depending on your preferred doneness. Remove the steaks from the pan and set them aside on a plate.
  3. Make the garlic butter base: In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add the butter and let it melt. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Prepare the parmesan cream sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir gently. Add Italian seasoning, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes. Let the sauce simmer for about 2–3 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly. Gradually stir in the grated parmesan cheese, whisking until the sauce becomes smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine steak with the sauce: Return the steaks to the skillet. Spoon the creamy parmesan sauce over the steaks and let them cook for another 1–2 minutes so the flavors blend together. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top before serving.
