Delicious and crispy potato patties made with grated potatoes and onions.
Ingredients

- 3 medium Russet potatoes (about 600g), peeled and grated
- 1 small onion (about 70g), finely grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or butter (60ml)
- 1/2 tsp paprika or garlic powder (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and grate the potatoes. Rinse under cold water until clear.
- Drain grated potatoes using a clean kitchen towel to remove moisture.
- In a bowl, combine drained potatoes with onion, salt, and pepper. Add optional seasonings if desired.
- Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form potato mixture into patties and fry for about 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Transfer to paper towels to drain excess oil and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add herbs like parsley or chives to the mixture.
- Adjust the thickness of the patties to preference for cooking time.
