- 1 cup ripe tomatoes, diced
- ¼ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 sturdy burger buns
Instructions
- Prepare the Toppings: In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped basil, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Mix gently and set aside.
- Form the Burger Patties: In a mixing bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper. Form into four patties about one inch thick.
- Preheat Your Grill: Heat the grill over medium-high heat while letting patties rest at room temperature.
- Grill the Burgers: Cook patties on the grill for about four minutes per side for medium-rare doneness.
- Toast Buns: During the last minute of grilling, place buns cut-side down on the grill until lightly toasted.
- Assemble: Place each patty on a toasted bun and top generously with tomato-basil mixture.
