A deliciously creamy and cheesy potato gratin that is perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs russet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh thyme, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly spray a baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and fresh thyme until well combined.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the prepared baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the Gruyère cheese.
- Repeat with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and Gruyère cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil during the last 15 minutes to allow cheese to brown.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- This dish can be prepared ahead of time and baked just before serving.
- You can substitute Gruyère cheese with other cheeses like cheddar if preferred.
