Description

A refreshing strawberry salad perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup whipped cream (or whipped topping)
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained (optional)
  • ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, add the sliced strawberries.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing until combined.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract into the cream cheese mixture, incorporating well.
  4. Gently fold in the whipped cream (or whipped topping) into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy.
  5. Carefully add the cream mixture to the strawberries in the large bowl.
  6. Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and optional crushed pineapple, if using.
  7. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator.
  8. Allow the salad to chill for at least one hour. This lets the flavors meld and the textures combine.
  9. After chilling, give the salad a gentle stir before serving.
