- 1 pound fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup whipped cream (or whipped topping)
- 1 cup mini marshmallows
- 1 cup cream cheese, softened
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained (optional)
- ½ cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, add the sliced strawberries.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the granulated sugar, mixing until combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract into the cream cheese mixture, incorporating well.
- Gently fold in the whipped cream (or whipped topping) into the cream cheese mixture until smooth and fluffy.
- Carefully add the cream mixture to the strawberries in the large bowl.
- Gently fold in the mini marshmallows and optional crushed pineapple, if using.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator.
- Allow the salad to chill for at least one hour. This lets the flavors meld and the textures combine.
- After chilling, give the salad a gentle stir before serving.
Notes
- This salad can be made a few hours in advance.
