- 1 cup unsalted butter (226g)
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar (300g)
- 3 large eggs
- Zest of 2 lemons
- 2 tbsp lemon juice (30ml)
- 1 cup milk (240ml)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour (240g)
- 2 tsp baking powder (8g)
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme leaves (6g)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (120g)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the unsalted butter until golden brown, stirring frequently. Remove from heat and avoid overmixing.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the drizzle, mix powdered sugar with lemon juice in a small bowl. Once the cake has cooled slightly but is still warm, pour the drizzle over it.
