Description

A hearty smoked sausage and cabbage dish, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 head green cabbage (chopped)
  • 12 oz smoked sausage (sliced)
  • 1 onion (sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 cups potatoes (diced)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in skillet and brown sausage. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook onion until soft, then add garlic.
  3. Add potatoes and season. Cook until lightly golden.
  4. Add cabbage and paprika. Pour in a splash of broth.
  5. Cover and cook until cabbage is tender.
  6. Return sausage, stir, and cook uncovered 5 minutes.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider using smoked paprika.
  • This dish can be served alone or with a side of crusty bread.
