- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for brulee topping)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a baking dish with unsalted butter.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, whole milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Cut the brioche or challah bread into slices and arrange them in the prepared baking dish.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread, ensuring all slices are well coated. Let it soak for at least 30 minutes or overnight.
- Sprinkle the brulee topping sugar evenly over the casserole.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set.
- Let it cool slightly, then garnish with fresh berries and powdered sugar before serving.
