A delicious dessert made by stuffing Medjool dates with chocolate and optional nuts.

- 10 large Medjool dates (pitted)
- ½ cup high-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa or more)
- ¼ cup chopped almonds or walnuts (optional)
- ¼ tsp sea salt
Instructions
- Prepare your ingredients: Pitted Medjool dates, a mixing bowl for optional fillings, parchment paper for cleanup, and a microwave-safe bowl.
- Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave in short intervals of 30 seconds, stirring until smooth.
- Make a lengthwise slit in each date, opening it like a treasure chest.
- If using nuts, fill each date with either whole or chopped pieces. Drizzle melted chocolate into each date’s opening.
- Place stuffed dates on parchment paper and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to set.
- Sprinkle with sea salt before serving.
