Description

A delicious sweet and salty treat made with potato chips, butter, brown sugar, chocolate, and festive sprinkles.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz bag ruffled potato chips
  • 1 ½ cups butter
  • 1 ½ cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 tablespoons Christmas sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Line a 10 x 15 inch baking sheet with foil and spray it well with cooking spray.
  3. Pour the potato chips onto the baking sheet. Spread them out evenly and push them down breaking them slightly to flatten.
  4. Drop the butter into a saucepan over medium heat.
  5. Once the butter is melting add the brown sugar to the pot.
  6. Combine butter and sugar well. Bring to a boil.
  7. Let boil over medium heat for 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. Pour the butter and sugar mixture over the potato chips on the baking sheet being sure to cover them completely.
  9. Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 5 minutes.
  10. Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  11. Allow the chocolate chips to sit for a couple of minutes and melt. Spread the melted chocolate chips evenly over the top.
  12. Top with the Christmas sprinkles.
  13. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours and then break into bite-sized pieces.
  14. Serve and enjoy.
