A delicious and easy recipe for sticky sesame cauliflower, perfect as a main dish or side.

- 1 cup (200g) cauliflower florets
- 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
- 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon (5g) grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon (15g) cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons (30ml) water
- 2 tablespoons (30g) sesame seeds
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss cauliflower florets with vegetable oil and spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
- In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
- In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir into the saucepan and cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove cauliflower from oven and toss with the sticky sesame sauce until evenly coated.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
- Serve hot as a main dish or side.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with rice or noodles.
- Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less maple syrup according to your taste.
