Description

A delicious and easy recipe for sticky sesame cauliflower, perfect as a main dish or side.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (200g) cauliflower florets
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup (60ml) maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon (5g) grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) water
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Toss cauliflower florets with vegetable oil and spread on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until tender and slightly crispy.
  3. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, maple syrup, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water until smooth. Stir into the saucepan and cook until sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove cauliflower from oven and toss with the sticky sesame sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
  7. Serve hot as a main dish or side.
